A spring roll is a popular appetizer or snack that consists of a thin, crispy wrapper filled with a variety of ingredients. The wrapper is typically made from rice paper or wheat flour. Common fillings include vegetables, meat (such as pork or chicken), seafood, and herbs. The spring rolls are often served with dipping sauces like sweet chili sauce, hoisin sauce, or peanut sauce.
There are two main types of spring rolls:
- Fresh spring rolls: These are made with rice paper and have a soft, chewy texture. They are often filled with fresh vegetables and served with a dipping sauce.
